    For good and valuable consideration, receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, You hereby grant to WNET L.L.C. (“WNET”) the irrevocable right to incorporate your submission (the “Work”), in whole or in part, into Media With Impact, including companion materials and ancillary platforms (the “Project”). WNET may use and license others to use any version of the Project and excerpts and outtakes therefrom in all manner and media, now known or hereafter devised, worldwide without limitation as to time.     You represent and warrant that you possess or have obtained the rights in the Work necessary for the grant of this license to WNET. You further agree to indemnify, defend and hold WNET, its licensees and assigns, and the Project underwriters harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, arising out of WNET’s use of the Work in its broadcast, exhibition, distribution, exploitation, publication, promotion or other use of the Project as provided for in this Release and/or out of any breach or alleged breach of the foregoing warranty.

In high school I struggled mathematically and that affected, basically, what I do today. It’s very difficult at times when my students are in a math class and they’re working out of a book. But anytime you can make a connection to something they’re interested in or something they deal with on a daily basis, it’s beneficial to their learning because it’ll give them a little bit more interest in the subject area.

Get The Math and the “Math in Music” videos and web interactives really hit home – kids fully engaged in working out what they “want” to learn. And as a teacher it’s hard sometimes to get that.

Why they felt this kind of math was more fun:
“We’re using computers, and computers are more our style.”
“I like it because I’d rather put beats together and learn that, than look through a textbook.”
“I think it’s fun because it’s interactive and it relates to the real world and how we’re going to use it.”
