Media Literacy Educator Workshop

PLEASE NOTE: The November 15 workshop is CANCELLED. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

Become a Certified PBS Media Literacy Educator!

The PBS Media Literacy Certification demonstrates your expertise in teaching students to produce media that matters and to think critically about their role as media consumers and creators. WNET is partnering with PBS and KQED, the PBS/NPR affiliate in the San Francisco Bay Area, to provide this PD opportunity.

This blended learning professional development experience is designed to a) recognize and promote the educators who possess and apply these skills already and b) provide a clear pathway, through coursework and other instructional resources, for those educators who need or desire support. This program is best suited for intermediate to advanced level edtech/media users.

Applications are available through the #NYCSchoolsTech Partner Certification Program. If you are not a NYC DOE teacher and you would like to attend, please send an email to workshops@wnet.org.
