WNET & NJTV Connect with Educators at Social Studies Conference

On Monday, WNET and NJTV presented at the New Jersey Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference at Rutgers University. Close to 400 K-12 educators traveled to Piscataway to attend the all-day conference, which featured more than thirty breakout sessions. Almost 50% of all school districts from NJ had a teacher in attendance.

Educators interacted with the PBS LearningMedia website, entered the virtual reality world with Google Expeditions, and walked away with branded promotional items.

There was ongoing excitement surrounding WNET’s award-winning, interactive game Mission US. Many teachers indicated that they use the history role-playing game and accompanying curriculum materials in their middle and high school classrooms.

WNET will be launching a new collection of New Jersey history and social studies resources on PBS LearningMedia in the coming months.
