The WNET Group Names Beryl Harold Senior Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The WNET Group, home to PBS stations THIRTEEN, WLIW21 and NJTV and NPR station WLIW-FM, has announced the appointment of Beryl Harold to the position of Senior Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), effective January 19.

In this role, Beryl will work to champion and implement The WNET Group’s DEI strategy and will contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of programs to promote DEI within all areas of the institution. She will also partner with Human Resources to enhance the employee experience and attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce. She will report to Eugenia Harvey, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer of The WNET Group.

“I am excited to partner with Beryl to expand and enhance The WNET Group’s DEI initiatives and objectives,” said Harvey. “Her expertise in leading HR, diversity and change management programs in both the non-profit and media settings will be an asset as we work to further weave DEI into the fabric of our organization.”

Prior to joining The WNET Group, Beryl served as HR & Diversity Director for Westchester Community Opportunity Program, Inc. (WestCOP). During her tenure, she oversaw all HR initiatives including diversity and engagement, recruiting, training and employee relations. She also supported diversity objectives and worked with managers in implementing and managing change.

Previously Beryl led diversity initiatives and served in HR roles at CNN, Arise News, Town Sports International and Avon Products, Inc.

Beryl received her Master of Science in Human Resources Management from The New School and her Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing from Hofstra University.
