    WNET’s community event reach reflects the number of non-staff participants each month at all WNET events in FY19 such as screenings, workshops, advisory board meetings, and conferences.

  • 30+ Public Media Station Partnerships; 50+ TV Companion Programs

    In FY19 WNET’s Community Engagement department partnered with public media stations to support national television broadcasts with companion programs of their own. PBS stations also held free screening events for more than 5,000 community members to connect local history and current events to themes in WNET’s national programming.

The Better Business Bureau gave its seal of approval to WNET, assuring the public that WNET follows best practices in organizational governance and transparency. Charity Navigator also gave WNET a four-star rating for the fourth consecutive year for demonstrating strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency.
