Channel Rescan July 2, 2020

In connection with the broadcast spectrum auction, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) assigned WMBQ to a new broadcast frequency. As a result, WMBQ will have a channel switch over.

The switch over date is July 2, 2020 at 9 a.m. To continue watching WMBQ with a TV antenna on the switch over date and after, you must rescan your tuner or television (do not do this in advance of the date). It is the same scan that television owners must do to find local channels when setting up a TV or converter box for the first time. If needed, contact the manufacturer of your television for help.

For more information, visit the FCC site fcc.gov/TVrescan, or call 1-888-CALLFCC (1-888-225-5322) and press “6” at the prompt for antenna/reception issues.
