Topic: How do parents deal with a child's drug addiction and truly "let go?"

Topic Description: My son is 25 and has been on drugs for 10 years. It has been hell for him, as well as for me, but through the pain, I have learned how I have helped "kill" my son by enabling him to continue to use drugs. But what is the answer, and do you truly "watch" your child (or any loved one) die from drugs? Perhaps there is really a message when one uses the 12-steps and one is willing to let go. But, as Carroll O'Connor often said, when you give up, they are dead. Who knows what the real solutions or answers are?
