Topic Description: The title of your series is so apt for many of us...as the daughter of an alcoholic, the ex-wife of an addict and the mother of 2 teens with addictions the home connection is all too clear for me. The focus that treatment must include the recognition that it is a process of recovery (which can include relapses) is so important. Support groups like AlAnon are essential for those of us who watch as our love ones struggle with this cunning disease. We need to be able to maintain our own stability regardless of the choices of those we love. The challenge for us is to continue loving despite the chaos because the alternative of not risking love is too bleak.
