Topic Description: I want to encourage anyone in the Kansas City, MO. area to add to this addiction discussion group. As community outreach director at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center I have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people struggling to overcome their addictions. I would like to share a short story from a friend. He states, "Today, I am six months sober, and feeling better about myself than ever before. I have put my faith and trust in the Lord, and the results are amazing. I know now that all things are possible through Jesus Christ. I pray each day that I continue to grow emotionally and spiritually in my recovery.

Subject: A BOOK THAT HAS HELPED ME A LOT
Message:
I AM SO GRATEFUL TO BILL MOYERS AND HIS SON FOR CREATING THIS OPEN FORUM FOR US ALL. MY RECOVERY NOT ONLY SAVED MY LIFE, BUT IT HAS GIVEN ME A WHOLE NEW LIFE. IN MY ONGOING QUEST TO FIND NEW WAYS TO SHARE MY GRATITUDE, I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND A BOOK THAT KEEPS ME GROUNDED, AND BALANCED EACH DAY. THE NAME OF THE BOOK IS ,"THE HEALING RUNES." THE AUTHORS ARE RALPH BLUM AND SUSAN LOUGHAN. IT COMES OUT OF NEW YORK, ST. MARTINS PRESS . I LEARNED ABOUT THIS BOOK WHEN SOMEONE SHARED IT IN MY 12 STEP ,STEP STUDY GROUP.I'M JUST SHARING MY GRATITUDE TODAY. THANKS FOR LISTENING, AND HAVE A SANE DAY.
