More than 2,000 years after Genesis was written, what does it mean to us that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all trace their religious beginnings back to one man -- Abraham?

What does it mean to be chosen by God? Were Abraham and Sarah both chosen, or only Abraham? If someone is chosen, does it necessarily mean that others are "unchosen"?

Do you think that people in 20th century America hear the voice of God the same way that Abraham did? Have you ever heard the voice of God? In contemporary times, do you think it's possible to tell the difference between a call that's authentic and one that's imagined?

What does it mean that God chose to enter into a covenant with people like Abraham (and Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob, Rachel, and Leah)? Thousands of years later, what difference does it make to us that God "chose" human beings who were not perfect -- who were, in fact, very much like us?
