I am working on a new kind of dome that fits the bill for both the water and airship models. I have built several large prototypes that prove my concept. If anyone would like to see them or know more feel free to email.

I'm doing my thesis in Architecture. It's a thesis to propose floating architecture as an acceptable alternative solution to the scarcity of land here in the Philippines. I really need help regarding this. I would like to know about Bucky's Triton City. It is a proposed floating city. I need information regarding floating structures badly. Pls. respond. My email address is myduarch@mozcom.com. Thank you.

It might not be a "megastructure," but there's a
very interesting "tensorial" (?) column on the campus of
Princeton U's Institute for Advanced Studies. I've seen
similar ones elsewhere, and read about them long ago. Bucky
was intrigued by the progress made in developing materials
of great tensile strength, while where was no such
progress in compressive strength. I think the column was
an attempt to take advantage of the former to create the latter.
