WNET Previews “Victoria, Season 2” for Members, Donors & Fans

On the evenings of December 11 and 12, WNET gathered a few hundred of its closest friends at the Whitby Hotel and The Times Center for holiday screenings of Victoria – Season 2. These events were produced in partnership with PBS and WGBH, and builds on the success of last year’s donor holiday party that featured the Masterpiece series as its centerpiece.

Attendees were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before watching the Season 2 premiere in advance of its THIRTEEN broadcast premiere on January 14. The screenings were followed by Q&A and meet-and-greet sessions with Jenna Coleman (Queen Victoria), Rufus Sewell (Prime Minister Lord Melbourne) and Daisy Goodwin (Author and screenplay writer of Victoria). Attendees donned their finest holiday attire, and we even had a few unexpected costumed characters show up!.

Staff volunteers ensured that all in attendance were in festive spirits. For their efforts, they were rewarded with a chance to meet and take a picture with Jenna and Rupert.

Be sure to tune in for Victoria – Season 2 (January 14 – February 25 at 9pm on THIRTEEN) and to keep an eye out for future volunteer opportunities.
