“Victoria” Screening Packs Theater at the New-York Historical Society
On December 16, more than 225 Patron, Major, Corporate, Sustaining, and Legacy members braved the cold to attend WNET’s holiday gathering and advance screening of the first episode of Victoria on Masterpiece. Held at the Klingenstein Library at the New-York Historical Society, guests enjoyed holiday music by a violin and cello duo from the Juilliard School, along with British-themed passed hors d’oeuvres and donated wine from Corporate Sponsors Sud de France and beer from Lagunitas.
Anticipation for the new series was high, as many British-drama fans voiced their hope of finding the next big show, and the theater was packed as WNET President & CEO Neal Shapiro welcomed the excited crowd.
Following the one-hour screening, guests left the theater delighted, and looking forward to tuning in on Sunday, January 15 at 9 pm to watch the full two-hour premiere of Victoria on THIRTEEN.
