THIRTEEN Passport Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Today, marks the one-year anniversary of THIRTEEN Passport, which WNET launched on December 15, 2015.

In the past year, the streaming video service has more than 40,000 activations and has attracted more than 15,000 new members to WNET.

“We are pleased by the successful first year of THIRTEEN Passport,” said Neal Shapiro, President & CEO of WNET. “With this platform, we provide an on-demand service for our members that gives them access to their favorite public television programs anytime, anywhere. THIRTEEN Passport provides a unique opportunity to reinforce the importance of supporting public media, and a way for us to show our appreciation for those who do.”

THIRTEEN Passport is available via thirteen.org, THIRTEEN Explore, pbs.org and other digital platforms, offering the ability to watch recent hits like Great Performances: Hamilton’s America as well as popular archival programming such as Colonial House.

“Enhancing the viewer experience on THIRTEEN Passport is our top priority,” said Dan Greenberg, Interactive Engagement Group’s Chief Digital Officer. “We look forward to its continued expansion as we improve the user interface and expand the content offerings.”
