“Sesame Street: K is for Kindness Tour” Kicks Off on Long Island

This past weekend, the Sesame Street: K is for Kindness Tour kicked off at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island. This free, limited-time, multi-city experiential tour complements the 47th season of Sesame Street, and featured hands-on digital learning fun, bilingual English/Spanish books and activities, “meet and greets” with Abby Cadabby and Elmo, a live stage show, and other special surprises.

Prior to the event, WLIW and WNET’s Education department hosted a VIP Meet & Greet for members and donors with Abby Cadabby and Elmo. Tote bags, WLIW luggage bags, plush toys, books, pencils and stickers were given out, and Vice President, General Manager of WLIW Diane Masciale (at right) read three Sesame Street-inspired books to the children in attendance: Elmo Loves You; The Monster at the End of This Book; and Another Monster at the End of This Book.
