Note from the CEO: Election Resources

Election season is a time when PBS stations like THIRTEEN, WLIW21 and NJTV can truly deliver for our communities. With a long history of balanced and trusted news coverage and access to thought leaders across the political spectrum, your tri-state-area PBS stations are committed to serving as a central, reliable and balanced resource from the conventions through the elections.

With a stable of strong local and national programming, including PBS NewsHour and PBS NewsHour Weekend, MetroFocus and NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams, there’s no shortage of ways for our communities to stay up to date on the issues of the day, whether it’s during the conventions or beyond. And our on-air presence is complemented by our user-friendly Election Hub, a curated collection of videos and feature stories from across the PBS community that also includes links to educational resources related to the electoral process.

Given the range of complex issues facing our communities in 2016, we will continue to expand our resources to support a better informed electorate that has the tools and information to engage in and learn from the 2016 elections.

Please let me know if there are ways we can partner or if there is anything you think we can do better.
Regards,
Neal Shapiro
