Ostrowsky (President & CEO, RWJBarnabas Health) for their contributions to the state.

Speakers included WNET President and CEO Neal Shapiro, who commented, “As I look out over our audience, I see two reasons why we’ve succeeded: an incredible staff…and, as we like to say, viewers like you.”

On-air host Steve Adubato also addressed the crowd, encouraging continued network support from the audience and giving a “thank you on behalf of outside producers” to Neal and NJTV General Manager John Servidio.

John shared insight and a clip about the network’s new In Your Neighborhood initiative, which will next visit the city of Trenton on Thursday, June 29.

Entertainment kicked off with a special performance by the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award-winning members of Summit High School‘s production of Mary Poppins, who were featured in NJTV’s recent documentary, I Can’t… I Have Rehearsal. It culminated with a live performance by award-winning dancer, actor, choreographer and New Jersey native, Savion Glover (pictured above with violinist J Read).

Attendees also had the opportunity to bid on a pair of Hamilton orchestra tickets. The lucky winner: honoree Jamie Kern Lima!

And the night wasn’t over until the s’mores roasted…as attendees were welcomed to join staff by the patio fire pits for treats and chat.

Senator Booker was generous with his time at the Gala, taking selfies with many of the attendees, including NJTV Coordinating Producer Bob Hoffman…

…and NJTV Art Director Vinny Caravano
