NATAS New York Chapter Elects NJTV’s Phil Alongi to Board of Governors

NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams‘ Executive Producer Phil Alongi has been elected to the Board of Governors for the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The Board of Governors sets policy for the New York Chapter. The Board is comprised of television professionals representing Broadcast Journalism, Creative Crafts, Design, Direction, Executives, Music, Performance, Production, Sales/Marketing, Writing and Advanced Media.

Phil will represent the Board in the category of “Broadcast Journalism.” His term runs from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2019.

The New York Chapter of the NATASs, founded in November 1955, is the preeminent membership organization serving all media professionals in the television industry, offering career enhancing events and networking opportunities. NY NATAS fosters creativity and inspires artistic and technical excellence through the renowned Emmy Award, the most prestigious honor and most coveted peer-recognition symbol of distinction in television.
