Lisa A. Mantone
Vice President, Development & Communications

Lisa A. Mantone joined WNET in January 2012 as Vice President, Development & Communications.  She is a development professional with over 25 years of experience in arts and educational fundraising, management and external relations.

Prior to joining WNET, Lisa served for over 13 years on the staff of The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), most recently as Associate Deputy Director, External Affairs.  In this position, Lisa oversaw a comprehensive fundraising program – including Membership, Annual Fund, Corporate Membership and Foundation Support, as well as Visitor Services.

In addition to raising annual general operating support, Lisa was a member of the senior team for MoMA’s most recent Capital Campaign effort, which raised over $900 million for the museum’s building project and endowment support.  During her tenure, Membership and Annual Fund gifts were increased dramatically.

Before joining MoMA, Lisa was a Senior Development Officer at Columbia University, raising operating funds and capital support for the University Libraries.  Prior to that, she was Annual Fund Director at the New York Philharmonic, where she oversaw annual and patron level giving.  She began her development career at State University of New York, State College of Optometry, where she was Associate Director of Development.

Lisa is a Board member of Women in Development.  She has taught fundraising courses at Columbia University and at the Seton Hall University Museum Studies program and has served on panels on fundraising strategy.  She is a graduate of William Paterson University with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Communications.

Lisa is married with a daughter.
