ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience working within a multi-platform news specials production unit. The responsibilities will include research, production support and social media.
Intern will learn how to develop story ideas, log tape, transcribe, use social media as content communication tool, assist with local shoots and be able to observe edits.
Intern will work on special WNET projects with entire Chasing the Dream, and Peril and Promise, team.
Major content topic areas include:
- Poverty and opportunity
- Climate Change and resiliency
Skills: Intern should be detail-oriented, able to work independently and have a positive attitude. We’re looking for someone who aspires to be a journalist, documentary filmmaker or writer. Intern will be expected to perform all assignments in a timely manner. Journalistic integrity is critical.
Schedule: 3-4 days a week 10am-5pm
