National Corporate Sponsorship Group

Description of Duties:

Work directly with and report to the Senior Director of Client Services to represent and communicate WNET’s national corporate sponsor’s expectations and interests.  Provide prompt and responsive attention to all sponsors in a timely manner. Work closely and interact with all departments at the station including Production, Communications, Educational/Community Outreach, Project Management and Legal to best represent sponsor interests and respond to requests.  Tasks may include updating monthly timeline and grids of sponsor deliverables.

Proactively work with contacts at major corporations and ad agencies (often multiple sponsors per series) to manage expectations and contractual deliverables for their sponsorship of Nature, Need to Know, The African Americans:  Many Rivers to Cross, and other national productions from WNET. Help to share and report feedback from publicity, audience delivery and online exposure to demonstrate to corporate sponsors the value of their investment.

Also work with Associate Director of Editorial Services and Director of National Sales and Sponsorships to assist in the development and layout of compelling, research driven National Corporate Sponsorship sales proposals.  Provide timely data for integration into sponsorship proposals.  Assist in customizing each sponsorship proposal to meet the unique needs of that prospect.

Special Skills:

Candidates must have a strong interest in marketing and sales, and the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment requiring accuracy, organization, research and strong writing skills.  Required proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel and Photoshop).  Experience in design layout and Google Analytics is a plus. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college or university program.

Start and end dates and hours are flexible. The summer term is usually from June through August.
