Description of Duties:
This hands-on, immersive internship in media corporate sponsorship requires a level of professionalism and responsibility appropriate to working directly with WNET’s producers, publicity team, and other departments, and interacting with representatives of major corporations. This intern will coordinate between WNET departments to develop compelling, research-driven sales proposals, customized to meet the unique needs of each corporate sponsorship prospect. The position will also involve the stewardship of existing relationships, working with national corporations to ensure deliverables are met. This intern will be part of a close team made up both National Corporate Sponsorship and Local Corporate Sales, under the direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Director of National Corporate Sponsorship.
This position will be working with award-winning national programs including American Masters, Great Performances, and Nature, as well as innovative, local programming such as MetroFocus, WNET’s daily news program filmed at the WNET Tisch Studios at Lincoln Center. Start and end dates flexible.
Candidates must have an interest in marketing and sales, and the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment requiring accuracy, organization, and strong writing skills. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Photoshop). Experience in design layout and Google Analytics is a plus. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, accredited program.
