Audience Engagement Intern

WNET in Manhattan is looking for a high-performing, self-motivated, creative intern to support efforts to create buzz and drive tune in for signature PBS national series. The successful candidate will have prior experience conducting social media influencer research and outreach and be a very strong writer; blog-writing experience is preferred.

This is an unpaid, semester-long internship that will translate to valuable, marketable experience driving results for such renowned PBS programs as Nature, American Masters and Great Performances. The position requires a 20-hour commitment per week, with flexible scheduling as needed.

The ideal candidate will have prior communications or social media internship experience and be a second-semester junior or senior in college majoring in communications, public relations or marketing. Successful candidates will have a portfolio of social media posts, influencer engagement examples and long-form writing samples, including sample blog posts or student newspaper articles. Love of public media is a plus.
