The Accounts Payable Coordinator position will require exceptional administrative skills as well as strong analytical and communication skills. Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable, the Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating accounts payable functions including invoice verification, data entry and file maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices for a group of companies including data entry;
- Open and route incoming mail to the various departments;
- Maintain mail/phone contact with vendors and staff on outstanding payments;
- Maintain suspense file; reconcile vendor statements ;
- Communicate and resolve any issues with peers and vendors;
- Use analytical and organizational abilities to research invoices while paying close attention to detail.
To qualify, candidates must have at least two years experience in accounts payable, strong analytical skills and able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Advanced Word and Excel skills are required as well as excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. Candidates with knowledge of Lawson or other ERP software are preferred.
